WORLD AIDS DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME 2025

The Department of Microbiology, Ahalia School of Paramedical Sciences, conducted a World AIDS Day awareness programme on 2nd December 2025 at St. Francis Xavier’s Vocational HSS, Parisakkal. The session, held at 2 pm, was part of the department’s community outreach activities.

Mrs. Maneesha M Joseph, Associate Professor,Department of Microbiology delivered an informative session focusing on the 2025 theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.” She discussed HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and the importance of reducing stigma.

Students participated actively and interacted with the resource person, gaining valuable knowledge about HIV/AIDS and its social implications.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Jincy Mathew, Faculty, St. Francis Xavier’s Vocational HSS, Parisakkal.
