Date: 25th & 26th August 2025
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM Area Covered: From AWACH Hospital to Ahalia Medicine Manufacturing Unit
As part of the Navakeralam Karma Padhathi under the Haritha Keralam Mission, a program titled “Net Zero Carbon Keralam – Janangaliloode” was organized on the 25th and 26th of August 2025. The initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability and support Kerala’s vision of achieving net zero carbon through community participation.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic involvement of approximately 100 students and faculty members from ASPS. Their contribution highlighted the importance of academic institutions in advancing environmental missions and encouraging youth engagement.
Participants systematically counted the number of trees along the stretch from AWACH Hospital to the Ahalia Medicine Manufacturing Unit.
Students recorded both the height and diameter of trees, contributing valuable data for carbon sequestration studies and green audits.
The program also served as a platform to raise awareness among students and the local community about the significance of biodiversity and carbon neutrality.
