Key Points on Cancer Awareness
Cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality, but early detection significantly improves survival rates.
Lifestyle modifications such as avoiding tobacco, limiting alcohol intake, maintaining a balanced diet, and regular physical activity can reduce cancer risk.
Awareness of early warning signs like persistent lumps, unexplained weight loss, non-healing ulcers, and abnormal bleeding is essential.
Regular screening and health check-ups help in early diagnosis and effective treatment.
Student awareness programmes play a vital role in spreading knowledge to the community. The Cancer Day Awareness Programme was successfully conducted and met its objectives.
