Anti-Ragging Awareness Session
An Anti-Ragging Awareness Session was conducted at the ADH Auditorium on 11 February 2026 at 2:00 PM for the students of Ahalia School of Paramedical Sciences. The programme aimed to educate students about the dangers of ragging and its serious legal and psychological consequences, and to promote a safe and respectful academic environment.
The session was handled by Mr. Arumughan V,Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police,Janamythri and CPG Asst. District Nodal Officer, Palakkad. He delivered an informative and interactive talk explaining what constitutes ragging, the punishable offences under law, and the responsibilities of students in preventing such practices. Real-life examples were shared to help students understand the long-term impact of ragging on victims as well as offenders. The session also encouraged students to report incidents without fear and highlighted available support systems.
Students actively participated by asking questions and clarifying doubts regarding disciplinary rules, complaint procedures, and preventive measures within the campus.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sreejith M Nair, Principal of ASPS, who expressed gratitude to the resource person for the valuable awareness session and advised students to uphold mutual respect and maintain a ragging-free campus atmosphere.
