AHALIA YAAD

An outreach awareness programme was conducted by Ahalia YAAD in collaboration with the Excise Department, Palakkad, on Thursday, 8 January 2026, at Model High School, Palakkad, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. M N Suresh Babu, Assistant Excise Inspector, Palakkad. Around 400 students from Classes IX to XII participated in the programme.

The programme began with a flash mob by Ahalia School of Nursing, followed by an awareness session on alcohol and drug abuse by Ms. Silpa M A, Counselling Psychologist. This was followed by an awareness session by Mr. M N Suresh Babu, focusing on the ill effects and legal aspects of substance abuse.

The programme concluded with a financial literacy session by Ms. Sheebakumar, Faculty, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics. The programme was conducted successfully with the cooperation of all members.
